You Can’t Break Me project is aimed at addressing the disadvantages and inequalities black and minoritised women face when they are in prison and on probation.

Psychological distress, unemployment and isolation are common factors affecting black and minoritised women involved with the criminal justice system, which increases their difficulty in reintegrating into society.

At P.H.O.E.B.E we believe that to help women, we need to address the roots of their distress. We can do this by offering the opportunity to speak of their traumas, fears, and concerns in a safe and nonjudgemental environment, while also giving women opportunities for skills development, wellbeing support, and encouraging their engagement with services in the community.
