Working Chance Employment, Education and Training Support
As part of our wider commitment to helping women build stability and independence, we work in partnership with Working Chance, a specialist charity supporting women with convictions to move forward into education, training, and sustainable employment. Their service provides tailored, women-only support focused on improving employability, strengthening practical skills, and increasing confidence in navigating the world of work.
Working Chance brings dedicated expertise in employment and education for women affected by the criminal justice system. Through one-to-one guidance and group training, they help women identify their skills, prepare for job opportunities, and take steps towards meaningful and secure employment. Their approach supports women in overcoming barriers to work including gaps in employment, low confidence, or limited access to training and promotes long-term, positive changes in women’s economic stability and self-reliance.
Working Chance provides:
Monthly Online Training Sessions
Specialist employability workshops delivered virtually once a month, offering accessible skills development and job-readiness support.
Monthly In-Person Sessions at the Hammersmith Women’s Centre
Face-to-face employment support for women seeking personalised guidance, practical tools, and confidence-building in a safe, supportive environment.
Working Chance’s partnership with Advance strengthens our holistic service, ensuring that women have access not only to emotional and practical support, but also to specialist employment and education pathways that can transform long-term outcomes and support women to thrive beyond the criminal justice system.
