Service provided by Women in Prison
Together Bluebird Service
The aim is that this will reduce their risk of reoffending, relapsing and recall.
The Bluebird Service forms part of the Integrated Community Service on the Offender’s Personality Disorder Pathway, providing psychologically informed support, advocacy and advice to women in the community. This service aims to begin engagement with women within the prison, prior to their release. We will then provide intensive, holistic, relational and goal orientated practical and emotional one-on-one support within the community.
We work with women for a period of their license to provide support setting realistic, and individually tailored goals focusing on positive progress in the following areas: criminal justice, education, employment and training, engagement, health and wellbeing, housing, personal development and substance misuse.
Referral Information
For women to access this support they need to be returning to a London Probation team and either be on the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway or at least have the criteria where they can be screened in.
