Stronger Futures provides support for women who are living with, or are in recovery from, domestic abuse.

Our Stronger Futures service begins once the risk has been reduced, we play a key role to provide holistic support ‘extended casework’ for both the women and her family providing support to reduce the risk of her entering another abusive relationship and help move them forward – a wrap around set of support provision that makes a big difference to them at their most vulnerable points in their lives. This provides a safe, tailored, empowering, outcome focused approach.

We aim to:

  • Reduce risk and increase safety
  • Provide bespoke, needs led recovery support
  • Recognise the impact of trauma and work in a trauma informed way
  • Focus on the early help and intervention model to identify, manage and reduce risk at the earliest possible opportunity

Stronger Futures peer support group

Our peer support group is an informal, lightly facilitated group that runs face-to-face sessions once a week in Bognor and Chichester, and once a week online.

We encourage our service users to take ownership of the group, promoting a sense of autonomy and control to women who may feel robbed of this having experienced, or currently experiencing control in their relationship. The group is a safe, supportive space for women to explore their feelings around domestic abuse, and begin to take steps to rebuild their lives.
