Meet at the Gate service
We offer a meet at the gate service for women returning to Dorset from prison, or from Elizabeth Fry AP, who have mental or physical health conditions, and are therefore unable to make the journey alone.
On the day of release the woman will be met at the gate by 2 members of the Footprints team and safely engaged in their local community including support to access emergency accommodation, food and clothing through access to charity grants as well as attending probation of other immediate appointments.
Whenever possible the team will try to visit the women before release or have a video call to relieve anxiety.
Due to the intensive nature of collections we need at least 8 weeks notice.
