Liaison and Diversion
Liaison and Diversion (L&D) services identify people who have mental ill-health, a learning disability, a history of substance misuse or other vulnerabilities when they first come into contact with the criminal justice system. The service, in partnership with Together Women, offers a female pathway of support, assessing need and providing tailored support to reduce the likelihood of re-arrest and re-conviction. This involves enabling them to fulfil their requirements of their conditional cautions in the more appropriate setting of a Women’s Centre.
