Employability and employment support (Working Chance)
Working Chance is a national charity that helps women with convictions develop their confidence and self-belief and overcome barriers to employment. We work with any woman who has received a conviction or caution regardless of how long ago this might have been.
Our trauma-informed support is delivered one-to-one and focuses on creating a standout CV, interview skills, how to disclose a conviction and confidence building. All our clients are offered careers coaching to help them think about their strengths, aspirations and what job or career would make them feel fulfilled and happy.
We also provide recruitment and job-search support for women once they feel ready to begin looking for employment. Our employment advisors work with them on their job search and actively identify vacancies that they might be suitable for. They guide women through the hiring process and the transition into employment.
