Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS) are delivered by specialist women’s organisations working in partnership with Probation to support women to make positive changes, build stability, and reduce the risk of reoffending. CRS provide safe, inclusive, trauma‑informed support for women in the community and in custody.

Women can be referred for CRS as part of their Probation Order.

Support is offered through a mix of 1:1 casework, group programmes, and practical assistance, tailored to each woman’s needs and circumstances.

Every woman has an allocated caseworker who works alongside her to set goals, access support, and stay engaged throughout her order.

CRS Pathways
CRS cover eight specialist pathways designed to address the underlying factors that can contribute to offending:

  • Accommodation – support with housing needs, homelessness prevention, and accessing safe, stable accommodation
  • Dependency & Recovery – help with substance use, recovery planning, and accessing treatment
  • Emotional Wellbeing – support with mental health, confidence, resilience, and coping strategies
  • Education, Training & Employment – building skills, preparing for work, and accessing training or volunteering
  • Finance, Benefit & Debt – support with budgeting, benefits, debt advice, and financial stability
  • Family & Significant Others – strengthening relationships, parenting support, and family connection
  • Lifestyle & Associates – developing positive routines, reducing harmful influences, and building pro‑social networks
  • Social Inclusion (custody only) – supporting women in prison to prepare for release, build confidence, and reconnect with community support
