We support men and women who have children under 18 within Newcastle upon Tyne. We take a whole family holistic approach to achieve positive outcomes for our clients. To be referred in to our project you must meet the following criteria;
– Be living within Newcastle upon Tyne.
– Have children living under 18. We may be able to help if the children are above this age they have Special Educational Needs or a learning/physical disability.
– Have a benefits query. This is our first point of contact before being able to be referred to a Family Link Worker and Advocate.

Unfortunately we do not work with any family under Tier 4 social services.
If you do not meet our criteria we are happy to discuss your issues and signpost you to where is relevant for your situation.
Please note; at this time we are unable to help with initial Universal Credit applications due to time constraints. Please use Help To Claim and visit Citizen’s Advice, Newcastle City Library, 4th Floor for help to claim.

We offer:
– A Benefits Advisor from the North East Law Centre – to help with benefits calculations, general queries, tribunals and appeals. This can include but not limited to Universal Credit, Personal Independence
Payment, Carers Allowance, Employment Support Assessment, Child/Working Tax Credits and Child Benefit.
– A Family Link Worker from Changing Lives- to provide emotional support and help you to access services within the city to support your needs.
– An Advocate from Connected Voice Advocacy – to help you voice your needs, fight for your rights and access statutory services you may be entitled to.
