Tomorrow’s Women – Wirral Centre
Tomorrow’s Women (TW) is an award-winning trauma informed Charity based in Birkenhead, run by women for all women aged 18+ to make positive lifestyle changes. Working with female offenders, and those on the periphery, it is committed to reducing offending in adult women and young girls. TW also provides support for women in the Chester and Cheshire West areas with a satellite centre in Winsford. TW also supports young girls aged 14 – 17 years to prevent them from engaging in countyline trafficking through preventative work, this project is called ‘Tomorrow’s Young Women’.
With wrap around support and a multi-agency approach they support women through targeted interventions to address underlying support areas for each woman. The women who attend are not judged and are encouraged to integrate to share skills and experiences. TW successfully deliver face to face interventions which are flexible/adaptable to the women’s needs and any activities and interventions can be delivered as a standalone programme or tailored specifically to what the women requires. TW provides a holistic approach to supporting women through many complex and often overlapping issues by addressing criminogenic needs i.e., relationships, emotional and physical health, addictions, social isolation, finance education and employment. TW has trained IDVAs and ISVAs who can support women survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. TW provide a monthly timetable of courses and workshops.
Open Monday-Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm (office hours until 5pm), they have an average of 500 visitors per week and have received over 12,000 referrals to date, achieving outstanding outcomes with women into employment, recovery and away from (re)offending through service engagement, learning opportunities & addressing behaviours in an all-female safe community hub.
