The Lighthouse Centre supports women, children and their dependants affected by domestic abuse. We provide independent advocacy, risk assessment and safety planning and other support services to empower women to make positive and lasting changes to their own and their dependents’ lives.

The clients’ safety is paramount as we help them to address the symptoms and causes impacting the quality of their lives.

We offer a warm, family-friendly, safe environment where clients are accepted for who they are with no judgements. We recognise the importance of providing easy access to seamless services to support those affected by domestic abuse. We provide the space to talk and explore options, to ensure clients get the right support at the right time for them.

#GotTheTeeShirt Coffee Morning

Our #GotTheTeeShirt Coffee Morning is a chance to speak to volunteers who have recovered from their own abusive relationships and are now ready to share their experiences, helping others to move forward.

Introducing Good Mood Mondays. A chance to begin your week right with a friendly chat and positive vibes with people who get it.

Lighthouse Heroes

This is a new 5-week domestic abuse programme where children work in groups of up to 4. This small setting also provides each child with an opportunity for bespoke 1-2-1 work.

Referral Information

We do not operate a referral process.

We are a drop-in centre that offers support and signposting for women and children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse. Any woman can drop into our centre at any time Monday – Friday 10am – 3pm where they will be met and welcomed by one of our friendly supportive staff.
