Pact is a pioneering national charity that supports prisoners, people with convictions and their families. Every year, we support thousands of people across England and Wales affected by the criminal justice system to make a fresh start.

We provide caring and life-changing services at every stage of the justice process: in court, in prison, on release, and in the community. Our vision is of a society that understands justice as a process of restoration and healing, that uses prisons sparingly and as places of learning and rehabilitation, and that values the innate dignity and worth of every human being. We work for the common good of society, taking a public health-based approach.

Our staff and volunteers play a vital role in supporting women, ensuring their unique needs are addressed during challenging times. We provide a safe and supportive environment for women visiting their loved ones in prison and work with women in prison and the community with practical guidance, emotional support, and resources to help them navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system. Through tailored programs and initiatives, we aim to empower women, foster connections, and promote the overall wellbeing of families affected by imprisonment.
