New Dawn New Day has worked to support the wellbeing of women in Leicester and Leicestershire for over 30 years. We started out as a community-based women’s centre in the 1980s, and we now deliver a range of services to women affected by trauma, violence and abuse, designed to meet their multiple and complex needs.

Through our work we know that women and girls affected by trauma and abuse have the potential to transform their lives and build a brighter future. We support them by providing a safe environment and high quality, gender-responsive, trauma-informed support.

Community Resolution

A Community Resolution is an out of court disposal used by the Police. It is an alternative to a prosecution and is often used where the offence is DA/DV related and the Police/CPS feel it appropriate.

IDVA

In house IDVA, providing a specialist service to women subjected to domestic violence and abuse. Referrals direct through our existing services.

Just Women

This project provides support to women who are on community-based Orders or prison licence. Women are referred by their Offender Manager to complete Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days (RAR days).

Trauma informed intervention – This Is Me
