Hibiscus Women’s Centre
Our Women’s Centre is a bright, cheerful, women-only space in Islington, North London where we support Black and minoritised migrant women affected by the criminal justice and immigration systems, and survivors of trafficking.
The Women’s Centre was developed in close consultation with the women we assist, to provide a safe, welcoming space, where women can relax, learn new skills or access specialist advice both in groups and during one-to-one sessions.
Our diverse, multi-lingual staff team of caseworkers provide individual, wraparound advice and advocacy support; while group activities offer the chance for women to socialise and build community with one another.
The weekly activity programme includes information workshops; practical skills such as ESOL classes; wellbeing groups including yoga, singing, and art; and activities designed to build empowerment & agency, such as the popular intersectional feminism group.
