Daddyless Daughters
The Daddyless Daughters Project CIC was founded by Aliyah Ali and is a non-profit organisation based in South East London. We support girls and young women who have been affected by family breakdown, abuse and adversity across London between the age of 14 – 30 years old. We support girls and young women to go on to build and sustain healthy relationships and lifestyles in aid of preventing criminal and sexual exploitation.
We provide physical and emotional safe spaces through one-to-one/group mentoring, creative expression projects, community events and educational workshops. Our creative expression projects empower disadvantaged and marginalised girls and women who have been affected by family breakdown, abuse and adversity by providing a platform to articulate their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
We specialise in being trauma-informed and implementing a therapeutic approach to our work and across different sectors such as film/script writing development, project design and service delivery.
Our Values
Empowerment: We believe in empowering our girls and young women by providing them with the tools, resources, and support needed to realise their full potential and thrive in all aspects of life.
Inclusivity: We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where all girls and young women regardless of background, race, or socio-economic status, feel valued, respected and supported.
Resilience: We recognise the strength and resilience inherent in girls and young women and aim to cultivate environments that foster personal growth, resilience and emotional well-being in the face of adversity.
Community: We value the power of community and multi-agency partnerships and strive to build strong networks of support working together to create positive change and opportunities for growth.
Integrity: We operate with integrity, transparency and accountability in all our interactions and endeavours, ensuring that the trust placed in us by our young women and stakeholders is upheld to the highest standard.
